What happens when you get so sick from living in a toxic house for 6 + years until one person cannot work causing a serious drop in income.   Then the 2nd person gets sick and they are self employed and pay over $500 month for health insurance.  Suddenly, the cannot afford health insurance so the get sicker.

To mitigate their exposure we moved into the one room that has more ventilation, the garage.  During the Summer they are exposed to heat over 100 degrees.  When Halloween came around temperatures dropped below 25 degrees so sleeping in the garage became unbearable.

The bottom line is there is no way to mitigate your risk of exposure because the toxic fumes are everywhere in the structure.  The only solution is to leave.

Will the bank who auctioned off the home disclose there is toxic drywall?

? - Probably Not because they will make you sign a waiver and are exempt because they never lived in the home.

Will the new owners patch the destructive testing holes in the wall with new drywall then resell it for a profit.

Will the new owners know they are living in a house that will make them sick?

These questions need to be answered because if an investor buys the home cheap and patches the destructive testing holes with no regard for a future buyer or tenant.  Look out.

Once you move in you may smell rotten eggs like a gas leak we did and the gas company didn't find any leaks.

Coming soon this property will be back on the market.  It has been purchased by a LLC who will probably patch the destructive testing where the experts were looking for a manufacture of the drywall.

Incidentally, they tested the drywall, TWICE and found toxic drywall and the water in the house was turning orange with sulfur levels off the charts.

When the house is listed on the market we will be notifying the selling agent and their broker that the house has toxic drywall and they will be forced to disclose this info to the buyers.  If they don't they could lose their license.

Beware Buyers - unless this property has been stripped to the studs and repaired according to the guidelines set for toxic drywall you are at risk.

Waiting for the commercials to start in 10 years.

10 years from now there will be commercials spreading through the media airwaves stating, "If you owned a home between 2001 and 2007 and had the following medical issues..." you could be a victim of toxic drywall.  Call now to join a nationwide class action lawsuit"

Of course the lawyers will make hundreds of millions and the plaintiffs will get a $1000 check for joining the case.

After 10 years, there will be enough sick people to have studies done even though OSHA has guidelines on being exposed to these chemicals as laws in effect.  The difference is commercial and residential.   The fact that you have to wear protective gear in a commercial environment and that does not translate into no gear exposure in residential environment baffles me.

Seriously, our exposure was so high we had blood tests done and they were abnormal.

Lennar says they didn't use any imported drywall but that is not true.  We have a Lennar Home built in 2004 when they were short of building supplies and raised the prices of upgrades during this period because of the "Shortage of Materials" they said and we have Mexican, Canadian and Unmarked or Blank Drywall in our home that tested positive for "Chinese or Toxic Drywall" by an independant 3rd party.

Agents are not disclosing Toxic or Chinese Drywall

Agents are not disclosing that homes have toxic or chinese drywall because it would kill the sale. The home should be tested no matter what based on the widespread actions of the builders.

Why?   You can test a toxic house all you want but until you live on one for six plus years you will never know how sick the house will make you and your family.

If you had allergies to sulfer or lung issues when you were a child the toxic air will affect you different than other people.  In fact, each family will react different to the toxic air so how can the CPSC say that there are no health effects?

They should research each house independantly and review the medical records so they can head off the sick families living on the hundreds of thousands of homes with toxic drywall.

All we ask is that you listen to the families instead of sweeping us aside.

Why isn't Nevada getting any National Attention concerning Toxic Drywall?

We have been interviewed by the CPSC and shut down mainly because there were more homes built during the Chinese Drywall timeline in Nevada than in Florida.   People are sick here because we are living on a Non-Humid environment compared to Florida so we are not having early warning AC units going out but over time with these items failing it seems more like usage than anything else.  We moved in and called the gas company and they cleared the house built in 2004. 

Six years later we have been battling sinus infections, brain damage, migraines, brain damage, blindness in one eye, acute skin rashes that remained for four years + so much my wife is almost anti-biotic resistant + scarred then one day we found an article about Chinese drywall and had our home tested and it tested positive.   In fact we have blanks in our home with little to no writing, some from Mexico, Canada, Georgia-Pacific, National Drywall and others that have no markings.   Our blog shows the health damage as well and drywall but at the ages of 45 we are left with nothing except a uninhabitable house, inability to work, no insurance, imminent foreclosure which will lead the bank to resell without disclosure and no furniture or belongings because the CPSC told us everything was toxic.  http://toxicdrywalllasvegas.blogspot.com/   

We tried living in our garage where we thought it would minimize our exposure but we still have migraines and still throw up every morning after sleeping in our mini-van.

We need assistance from the media to put the spotlight on Nevada because we have been frozen out locally due to the power of the developers in the courts.

Who is to blame for the toxic drywall tsunami that hit Florida and will soon reach Nevada?

• Manufacture - Yes, but they are a Chinese company so they are out of reach
• Supply - Yes, they should know the difference between grey, pink or white gypsum drywall and ask questions after all that is there business.
• Builders - Yes, when they were off loading the drywall - clearly the color wasn't consistent they should have refused the product BUT they were greedy and had to make deadlines in a hot market.   There are five or more different types of drywall in our home with a range of colors and smells.

Who has been let off the hook leaving the homeowners who received a finished product?

• - The Homeowners - hung out to dry with health problems with little to ZERO help from the government.
• Why?   Because the exposure the Suppliers and Builders would have could put them all out of business with the lawsuits and potentially cause the government to step in and Bail them out.

Who loses?

• - The Homeowners - financial losses, bankruptcy, health issues, any nest egg, retirement plans and the loss of their primary residence leaving them homeless without possessions because all of their furniture has been condemned by the CPSC.
