Our House Before

Our House Before we started looking because the experts could not see with cameras.  The writing on the drywall was less than and inch tall and only in one place on each board with no markings on the edges.   Some of the boards had markings on the edges and were clear others we had to dig.

Here are some pictures of our house and testing results.  Our house was built in 2004 by Lennar in Las Vegas NV during the construction material shortage. At the time of our purchase we were notified by the builder of the shortage and our prices for upgrades were doubled at contract.

Our house has tested positive for chemicals that are consistent with toxic drywall, we have been sick since moving into the house Oct 2004 with chronic sinus infections, skin rashes, hair falling out in clumps, debilitating migraines, eye issues, choking and vomiting, respiratory issues. Within months of moving into the house we had the gas company out to check for leaks which they found ZERO so after living with the smell our olfactory sense of smell stopped smelling it leading us on a wild goose chase to find out what was making us sick.

As of August 20th 2010, Lennar had done mold remediation and had a company come out to retest after the work was done because the house smelled rank in the master suite.   The refused to give us the results and told the company they are not to speak with us.   This was done by Wayne Schuster, Customer Service and Jeremey Parness, VP of Las Vegas Operations.    After the remediation was done they tested for mold but the home still smelled. They sent the testing company out again to retest for mold and to identify what the smell was. The results came back and Lennar refused to give us the results and told the testing company not to speak with us about any results. Shortly, thereafter we received a letter from Jeremey Parness telling us that he is considering the matter closed and the job has been completed above and beyond what Lennar was obligated to do with no mention of the test results.

All of our furniture is unusable due to the contamination and the CPSC said if you have toxic drywall leave anything that will absorb the gasses.

We are still sensitive to this type of drywall.
